At that point, assuming you play them daily, gold should no longer be an issue. This strategy has allowed me to keep a good 6-7 heroes maxed out, before Strongholds start unlocking. If I cannot win a territory battle by Crushing Victory, I come back to it later. Making sure you win as many Crushing Victories as possible will add to your reserves. Only unlocking/upgrading heroes you plan to use will help reduce gold spending. I personally like a second mounted hero as well, since their movement allows for quickly clearing enemy ranged units before they can reek havoc. Most people seem to focus on ranged units, and Gozura's Gunners are the cream of the crop - maybe across all classes. Beyond the Maiden Fairies, it's really personal preference on which heroes to unlock. Their healing ability allows you to heal your wounded heroes before the battle ends, thus avoiding the dreadful timers. What to do next? Unlock the Maiden Fairies. ![]() ![]() I realized I would be more productive just focusing on the original 5 heroes and add on from there. There really isn't a difference between the starting 5 heroes and the next group unlocked. After resetting my account, my main focus was optimizing my resources. Why? Originally I kept unlocking heroes, but couldn't afford to upgrade them all. I played Warlords of Aternum for a good year before resetting my account and starting new.
